Job summary

Tallgrass is seeking a senior environmental permitting leader in Houston to guide a diverse team responsible for permitting across processing facilities, pipelines, terminals, and related infrastructure. You will ensure regulatory compliance and align internal and external resources to meet project objectives.

The role requires 15+ years in environmental permitting with 10+ years in management, in the energy transportation sector.

Qualifications

15+ years of experience in environmental permitting and compliance.
10+ years of direct management experience of permitting resources.
Experience in the energy transportation industry (oil, gas or electrical transmission).
Experience working with state/federal/tribal environmental agencies.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a diverse team to implement environmental permitting strategies for facilities, pipelines, terminals and related infrastructure.
Coordinate internal and external resources to navigate permitting actions with regulators (BLM, USACE, FERC, USFWS, etc.).
Formulate and execute complex permitting plans while maintaining schedule and budget goals.
Communicate permitting details to project teams and regulatory officials; update meetings.
Collaborate with Commercial, Government Affairs and Operations to align permitting needs and contingency plans.
Develop and maintain partnerships with external resource providers/consultants.
