Job summary

The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Houston, TX, seeks a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia care across surgical and diagnostic procedures. You will conduct pre-anesthesia assessments, plan anesthesia, and administer general anesthesia while monitoring patients throughout the perioperative period.

Ideal candidates will hold an active Texas RN/APRN license, be a graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and possess NBCRNA board

Qualifications

Current CRNA certification and active Texas RN/APRN licenses or eligibility.
Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program and national board certification.
Strong proficiency in anesthesiology and general anesthesia.
Experience supporting surgery in operating rooms and coordinating care with surgical teams.

Responsibilities

Provide safe and effective anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgical and diagnostic procedures.
Perform pre-anesthesia assessment, planning, and administration of general anesthesia.
Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia; manage airway and hemodynamic status.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Contribute to patient education, documentation, and adherence to protocols and quality initiatives.
