Job summary

The ideal candidate should hold a Master’s Degree in Nurse Anesthesia and have experience in major medical centers. Key certifications like CRNA and BLS are required.

This role requires residency and work in Texas.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a major medical center or a major trauma-receiving hospital required.
  • Experience in academia, such as work with nurse anesthesia students required.
  • Experience as an RN in critical and acute care areas required.

Responsibilities

  • Administers anesthesia to surgical patients.
  • Performs pre-anesthesia evaluations to assess influencing factors.
  • Monitors patients in the operating room.

Skills

Skilled in administration of spinal, epidural, and brachial plexus block regional anesthesia techniques
Proficient in placement of arterial, central venous, and pulmonary artery lines
Familiar with interpretation of EKG and pressure monitoring
Skilled in respiratory management and blood gas analysis
Registered Nurse (RN) State Licensure
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse – Nurse Anesthetist (APRN-CRNA)
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Clinical specialty certification required
