Job summary

TK Elevator seeks an experienced Superintendent- Service in Houston, TX to oversee service operations, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The role involves audits, assisting mechanics, and supporting sales with bids and material costing.

The ideal candidate has construction/management experience, strong reporting skills, and knowledge of elevator codes. A valid driver’s license is required and benefits include health coverage and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of construction industry and general management; or Bachelor's degree; or two years experience managing a branch department; or equivalent combo.
• Ability to write reports, contract proposals and business correspondence.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from management and customers.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret extensive technical instructions and deal with abstract variables.
• Requires a valid driver's license and satisfactory MVR.

Responsibilities

• Visits job sites and performs quality audits for efficiency and cost control.
• Assists with NIM audits within 15 days of turnovers; identifies issues and recommends improvements.
• Assists mechanics with jobs, including troubleshooting and on-the-job training.
• Uses accounting reports to review route profitability and provide data to management.
• Participates in safety training and ensures compliance with codes.
• Provides technical input to sales on bids and material costs.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of elevator codes and products.
• Determines materials to be ordered for service and repairs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
