Job summary

TK Elevator in Austin, TX is seeking a Superintendent- Service/Repair to oversee on-site service and repair operations, ensuring efficient, cost-effective performance. You will audit routes, assist mechanics, prepare cost estimates, and ensure compliance with elevator codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities include reviewing profitability, training staff, coordinating materials, and supporting sales with project scope and bids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or related field.
• Ability to write reports, contract proposals and business correspondence.
• Ability to present information to management and customers.
• Ability to analyze problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
• Ability to interpret complex technical instructions and variables.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR).

Responsibilities

• Visits job sites and performs quality audits to ensure route work is efficient and cost effective.
• Performs NIM audit within 15 days of turnovers; identify issues affecting reliability and suggest improvements.
• Assists mechanics with jobs; provides on-the-job training.
• Uses accounting reports to review route profitability and callbacks; provides data to management.
• Participates in safety training.
• Provides technical input to sales on scope and materials; includes labor and material costing.
• Provides feedback to service/repair manager prior to evaluations and ratings.
• Keeps up-to-date with federal, state, and local elevator codes.
• Maintains knowledge of company products via trainings and updates.
• Determines materials needed for service, repairs, and parts orders.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
