Job summary

Bastion Technologies in Houston, TX is seeking a Project Engineer focused on Environmental Control and Life Support Systems to support the space program on-site.

You will develop project documentation, manage drawings and procurements, coordinate with ECLSS teams, and ensure test readiness through analyses, reviews, and reporting. This role requires space industry or DoD experience and a strong engineering background, with hands-on testing and collaboration across multiple organizations.

Qualifications

• US citizenship or permanent resident status required due to customer information.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 2+ years of related work experience.
• Space industry or DoD experience preferred.
• Experience with project planning documents.
• Knowledge of space hardware design, testing, and procedures.
• Ability to prepare written documents and present at meetings.

Responsibilities

• Develop project documentation and track drawings and procurements.
• Prepare TPS, DRs, and DTP as needed.
• Collaborate with ECLSS Air Team to validate test strategy.
• Inspect hardware on receipt against drawings.
• Design and develop PIDs for life support systems.
• Perform pressure calculations for system safety.
• Develop test plans, reports, and readiness reviews.
• Coordinate testing with facilities and vendors.
