Job summary
Flowserve Houston is seeking an Application Engineer to support the Global Projects Sales and Commercial Operations Team. You will assist with seal and system selections, answer technical questions, and prepare proposal packages to meet customer requirements.
You will coordinate with Engineering Contractors and Headquarter Accounts, manage purchase orders, and help improve order-entry cycle times while ensuring on-time delivery of quotations for assigned pump business units.
Qualifications
- Experience creating quotations and responding to RFQs in a timely manner.
- Ability to interpret specifications and data sheets for seals and systems.
- Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver proposals.
Responsibilities
- Provide quotations for seals and systems at market level pricing in RFQs.
- Interpret specs and data sheets, including delivery and payment terms.
- Create/maintain product standardizations and price lists.
- Coordinate comprehensive proposal packages meeting customer requirements.
- Address technical and commercial inquiries promptly.
- Support booking targets with monthly forecasting input.
- Visit customer facilities to build professional relationships.
- Facilitate special price requests with multiple hubs to support backlog.
- Complete contract reviews to aid booking processes.
