Shipco Transport Inc. in Houston, TX invites an experienced Airfreight Manager to lead the Air Import and Export operations, ensure compliance, manage a team, and optimize workflow from origin to delivery.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in airfreight, strong regulatory knowledge (IATA, TSA, U.S. Customs), leadership skills, and a track record of improving service levels in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years of airfreight forwarding experience with supervisory responsibility.
Strong leadership to motivate coaching teams in a fast-paced environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of airfreight operations, import/export, documentation, and customs procedures.
Solid understanding of IATA regulations, TSA requirements, and Incoterms.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee daily operations of Air Import and Export, ensuring compliance with procedures.
Supervise and develop team members; manage workloads and performance to meet goals.
Ensure accurate processing of airfreight shipments, including bookings, docs, and carrier coordination.
Monitor shipment progress; communicate with customers, overseas agents, airlines, and internal stakeholders.
Maintain billing accuracy, cost control, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.
Prepare monthly operational/financial reports and support budgeting/forecasting.
