Job summary

Total Talent Solutions in Houston, TX is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support financial reporting, close processes, and day-to-day bookkeeping. The role demands accuracy, timeliness, and a broader view beyond A/R and A/P.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Accounting, 2–4 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with QuickBooks and ERP systems. You will work Monday to Friday with mandatory OT during peak periods and contribute to cost accounting and month-end closes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, including formulas, reporting, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable and accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare journal entries and financial reports while researching discrepancies.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Process customer payments and monitor outstanding A/R balances.
