Job summary

University of Kansas’s Housing & Residence Life seeks a Functional Systems Analyst to manage StarRez/CS Gold/GFMS and other platforms, aligning technology with department goals. The role partners with IT, SIS, and vendors to ensure data integrity, reporting, and efficient operations.

The hybrid position requires campus presence for meetings and training, with remote work when not on site. KU notes non‑H‑1B sponsorship for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of relevant experience or high school diploma with 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience troubleshooting issues and solving technical problems as evidenced in materials
• Experience translating functional requirements into technical capabilities
• Excel proficiency including sorting, filtering, tables, and basic data analysis
• Excellent written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary functional administrator for StarRez and other Housing & Residence Life enterprise systems
• Configure workflows, forms, reports, and automated processes within housing management systems
• Monitor system performance, data integrity, and security controls
• Develop reports, dashboards, and data queries to support planning and operations
• Collaborate with campus partners to support cross‑functional initiatives
