Job summary

Mental Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Housing Case Manager in San Diego to help clients secure housing, negotiate rents and terms, and manage leases for short-term and permanent housing.

You will collaborate with community organizations, government agencies, and property owners to meet housing needs. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and experience in housing-related social services; valid CA driver’s license and auto insurance are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of housing-related social services experience.
• Valid CA driver’s license and current auto insurance per contract requirements preferred.
• Knowledge of housing needs of individuals with behavioral health needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with community organizations, government agencies and property owners to secure living arrangements.
• Negotiate rents, deposits, and move-in terms on behalf of clients.
• Manage lease agreements for short-term, transitional, and permanent housing.
• Provide field-based services as required by program and client need.
• Maintain confidentiality of client’s care and conduct regular housing screenings.
