Job summary

Thclinic in San Francisco seeks a Housing Services Coordinator to safeguard agency and tenant funds, process rent payments, and enroll tenants in appropriate programs to improve housing stability.

Must have a High School diploma (BA preferred), at least 1 year serving diverse, low-income or homeless clients, strong computer skills with MS Office, data entry, confidentiality, and excellent customer service; bilingual abilities and knowledge of San Francisco resources are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School degree or equivalent; BA/BS strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working with diverse, low-income, homeless or formerly homeless populations preferred.
• Ability to refer clients to appropriate resources and understand rent proration.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard agency and tenant/client monies and be accountable for check security policies.
• Receive and record rental payments, disburse checks and rent receipts, and prepare Payment Plans.
• Verify eligibility for programs and enroll tenants/clients in appropriate programs.
• Welcome new tenants/clients and process intakes and withdrawals.
• Collaborate with THC staff to ensure effective tenant services and housing retention.
• Communicate with HSA and CAAP benefits in matters related to client referrals.
• Assist with Check Day and Quick Check processes during Rental Payment Period.
• Work with hotel staff/case managers and community agencies to coordinate client care.
• Advocate for tenants with landlords and outside agencies to increase stability.
• Provide referrals to other programs for financial assistance or counseling.
• Schedule rent roll meetings and verify tenant information and rent balances.
• Update information in THC’s shared database and file supporting documents.
