Job summary

S:US is seeking a Case Manager to support eviction prevention and homelessness prevention efforts in Manhattan. You will carry a caseload, coordinate benefits and legal aid connections, and engage participants at the Homebase office and housing court to maximize housing stability.

The role requires field work, travel up to two days per week, and proficiency with database systems and Microsoft 365. A HS Diploma or higher is required, with a bachelor’s preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or AA degree; two years qualifying experience.
• Must be able to travel to housing court and HRA/DSS offices up to two days per week.
• Proficiency in database/client record systems data entry and in Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Oversee case management for program participants and families, coordinating services for housing needs.
• Ensure community follow-up to engage participants and promote self-sufficiency.
• Participate in outreach at Manhattan housing court and in the field with HRR/DSS offices.
• Promote linkage with other service providers to obtain housing stability and legal aid support.
• Monitor progress and prepare financial assistance requests on behalf of participants.
