Job summary

SHELTER, Inc in Pittsburgh, CA is seeking a compassionate Case Manager for Permanent Supportive Housing programs serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The role includes intake, assessments, care planning, and frequent travel for home visits.

You will manage a caseload of up to 20 households, provide budgeting and tax guidance, and connect clients to internal and external resources. This is full-time, non-exempt, Monday–Friday during business hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in social services or a related field.
• Experience with vulnerable populations preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends.
• Ability to travel frequently for home visits.

Responsibilities

• Screen prospective participants and verify income and documentation.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and orient clients on program services.
• Develop data-driven care plans and monitor progress.
• Provide financial coaching, budgeting, and tax guidance (EITC).
• Connect participants to internal and external resources.
• Maintain a caseload of up to 20 households and document in HMIS.
