Job summary

Start Corporation is seeking a Housing Specialist to assist clients in obtaining and maintaining stable housing within a community setting. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop supportive services, maintain landlord relationships, and help clients achieve housing stability.

You must have a bachelor's degree (preferred), be 18+, hold a valid driver's license, and have at least one year of housing experience with the homeless population. This is a full-time role with benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Be over 18 years of age
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• One year experience with homeless population and housing experience

Responsibilities

• Maintains professional and ethical standards of conduct at all times.
• Promotes recovery, personal choice, and respect.
• Interviews clients and families and completes assessments and other documentation.
• Works as part of a transdisciplinary team and ensures that clinical documentation and client files meet licensing/accreditation standards.
• Performs regular case maintenance including narrative entries and required reports.
• Assists with data collection and analysis to identify housing needs and service referrals.
• Utilizes community resources for appropriate referrals and linkages.
• Maintains a clear driving record to drive company vehicles for client transportation.
• Attends ACT team meetings and supervision.
• Assists with obtaining and maintaining more stable housing.
• Provides housing maintenance skills and community integration support.
• Supports landlord recruitment and retention, and seeks new landlords for fair housing.
