ACTION-Housing, Inc. in Pittsburgh is seeking a Housing Support Specialist to evaluate applications for the Housing Stabilization Program, aimed at helping residents avoid eviction and maintain housing.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates strong customer service abilities and professional phone interaction.
• Possesses working knowledge of landlord/tenant relationships and housing dynamics.
• Proven ability to build rapport, collaborate with partners, conduct outreach, and engage individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Counseling or social work experience is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support to clients who are delinquent on rent, helping them understand available resources and next steps.
• Collect and record applicant demographic information, landlord banking and tax details, outstanding rent amounts, and other required data in designated databases.
• Review and assess client applications to determine qualification for rental assistance funding.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records for clients and landlords.
• Ensure current data and statistical information related to clients is consistently updated and organized.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all steps within the rental assistance program to provide support across all stages as needed.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Education And Experience
