Job summary

Mary’s Place Seattle is seeking an Outreach & Diversion Specialist to support families living unsheltered in King County. The role involves identifying housing goals, performing assessments, and coordinating with landlords and service providers.

The position is full-time and based at a Mary’s Place location with some mobility required. You will work on data entry in Mary’s Place internal systems and HMIS, advocating for clients and ensuring compassionate, trauma-informed care while navigating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field, or equivalent shelter/case management experience.
• Experience in shelter or homeless population strongly desired.
• Experience in hospital/clinic environment.
• Knowledge of Housing First Principles.
• Trauma-informed approach to clients with trauma and substance use disorders.
• Fluency in English; additional languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify housing goals with clients and create housing plans.
• Conduct housing assessments and gather data for HMIS.
• Document case notes and maintain confidentiality.
• Advocate and liaise between clients, landlords, and providers.
• Be mobile for meetings and community outreach.
• Coordinate Resource Room services at Allen Family Center.
