Job summary

Wiley University seeks a Director of Housing and Residence Life to lead residential life strategies, housing operations, and student development. The role oversees occupancy, assignments, crisis response, and policy enforcement, collaborating with Public Safety, Facilities, Enrollment Management, Athletics, and others.

Emphasis on Title IX, student conduct, and assessment to advance student success on campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in housing, residence life, student affairs, student conduct, higher education administration, or a related area.
• Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong communication, conflict-resolution, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.
• Knowledge of student development principles and residential education.
• Knowledge of Title IX, Clery Act, FERPA, and related higher education compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and administration for University housing and residence life operations.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate residence life personnel and develop staff schedules.
• Monitor housing capacity, occupancy trends, and ensure accurate records and documentation.
• Collaborate with Facilities for maintenance and safety, and coordinate housing opening/closing.
• Develop programs that promote student engagement, belonging, leadership, wellness, and academic success.
• Support student conduct processes and crisis response; respond to emergencies as needed.
• Assist with Title IX reporting, investigations, and mandatory reporting responsibilities.
• Track housing trends and program effectiveness; participate in institutional assessment and compliance.
