Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Housing Inspector I to conduct annual inspections of subsidized housing units enrolled in the Project-Based Voucher Program, ensuring compliance with program requirements and safety standards.

The role requires interpreting HUD regulations, communicating findings clearly to owners and tenants, and staying current with local codes and industry best practices. Collaborative participation in team meetings will support inspection strategy and program updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 1 year of housing-related inspections or fieldwork.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear reports to property owners, tenants, and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail; proficient with inspection software or able to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct annual inspections as assigned by the Inspections Supervisor or department staff.
• Communicate inspection findings and recommendations clearly and professionally to owners, tenants, and stakeholders.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HUD regulations, local ordinances, and industry best practices.
• Attend meetings with the Supervisor and team to discuss inspection strategies and program updates.
