Job summary

Boston Public Health Commission is seeking a Housing Coordinator within the Homeless Services Bureau to help clients locate and sustain permanent housing. You will conduct intakes, develop housing plans, and connect clients to community resources.

You will supervise staff, coordinate housing options, and liaise with landlords while ensuring trauma-informed, racially equitable service delivery.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Boston area housing and social services.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
• Computer proficiency including writing, sending, and managing emails, using and entering data into online databases.

Responsibilities

• Deliver housing services to help clients find, move to, and remain in permanent housing.
• Supervise assigned staff, including recruitment, training, and scheduling.
• Manage housing navigation, location, stabilization activities and landlord relations.
• Maintain up-to-date client files and data in HMIS/database systems.
• Coordinate move-in logistics and accompany clients through lease signing and inspections.
