Job summary

Rhode Island School of Design is seeking an Assistant Director for Housing Operations, a full-time, 12-month live-in role responsible for administering housing operations for ~1,460 students. You will oversee occupancy, room changes, HMS/Workday data, move-in/out, and Pre-College housing, while ensuring safety, compliance, and a supportive residential environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and coordinating housing assignments and occupancy.
• Familiarity with HMS and Workday data entry and reporting.
• Ability to supervise student staff and coordinate move-in/out operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement housing and room selection processes for the academic year, summer, and specialized groups.
• Coordinate opening/closing procedures for move-in/move-out with leadership.
• Train and supervise student move-in staff and ensure accurate occupancy records in HMS.
• Ensure accurate billing and funding processes and maintain occupancy lists for Residence Life.
