Job summary

Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation in Alaska is seeking a Housing Department Leader to oversee housing assignments, maintenance, and furnishings in accordance with policy. You will manage staff, track occupancies, coordinate with IHS QMIS, and develop budgets to support strategic goals.

The role requires at least two years in office management or building maintenance, supervisory experience, and proficiency in MS Outlook/Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Minimum of two years experience in office management and/or building maintenance.
• Prefer Associate’s Degree in business administration, finance, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Customer Service oriented focus.
• Must possess basic building maintenance skills of: carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical repair, refinishing furniture, carpeting and sheet vinyl replacement.
• Must poses knowledge of appropriate cleaning processes and be able to appropriately address irritating odors, such as those left by pets.
• Demonstrate ability to calculate bill of materials and obtain quotes for building maintenance and repair activities.
• Must be able to work independently without direct supervision.
• Valid Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prioritizes, and coordinates Housing department activities. Assigns work of Housing Laborers and Housing Maintenance employees.
• Tracks and manages housing assignments and occupancies.
• Coordinates with IHS to update QMIS; along with providing information for determination of rental rates.
• Develops departmental budget submissions to align with the BBAHC strategy plan.
• Maintains full compliance with the laws, regulations, grant terms, and BBAHC policies pertinent to the division/department. Actively avoids fraud, waste, and abuse. Seeks methods and activities to enhance BBAHC revenues.
