Position Summary: The Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) Program will provide housing assistance to eligible households. TBRA meets the needs of participants by subsidizing the difference between total rent and the monthly tenant rent (based on Tenant Rent Calculation Worksheet or other approved form), to be calculated and tracked by staff at CHN, or the referring agency, and paid out by CHN. The goal of TBRA is to support participants’ long-term wellbeing through safe and affordable housing options. The Housing Occupancy Coordinator administers the TBRA program.

Experience providing case management services in a social service or supportive housing setting preferred. Experience with harm reduction, motivational interviewing, cultural inclusivity, and trauma-informed care. Proven ability to apply crisis intervention and de-escalation skills. Knowledge/experience of housing subsidy programs preferred. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams is required. Candidates should be comfortable working with client database systems and learning new software tools as needed.
Previous experience in the delivery of evidenced-based programs is highly preferred, as well as excellent communication, client services, and data collection skills. The appropriate person will be highly organized and detail-oriented. This position requires personal and professional accountability; self-management and initiative; dedication to quality improvement; professional integrity; research ethics, and cultural competency. Must demonstrate accuracy, efficiency and superior organizational skills. Must demonstrate effectiveness in the following areas: task and time management; teamwork; and communication with teams, managers, clients and participants, and company consultants.
Works with computer workstations, laptops, servers, and standard office equipment. Works with software, including electronic health records, client/patient data systems, word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software as well as with online systems. Communicates with partner organizations and vendors using the telephone, e-mail, the Internet, and fax.
Works in an office environment. May travel via automobile or airplane to offsite locations or for CHN business. Must have and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license and auto insurance on personal vehicle. Works with standard office equipment including computer work station, printers, copiers, scanners and fax machine. Communicates with clients and vendors using the telephone, e-mail, the Internet, and fax. Requires clear speaking ability and the ability to use a telephone for extended periods. Requires ability to view a computer screen (near acuity). Requires fingering agility for keyboarding. The ability to sit, stand, and engage in extended periods of screen time or communication by phone is necessary to perform the essential duties of the role.
