Job summary

5Cities Homeless Coalition seeks a Navigation Center Supervisor to oversee the Navigation office at Grover Beach, supervising Case Managers and coordinating with government and nonprofit partners to ensure coordinated care. Qualifications

• Associates degree in a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in homeless services or supportive housing.
• At least 1 year of supervision experience.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects under time pressure.
• Proficiency with Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to learn client tracking systems and electronic health/client records.
• Strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Ability to engage diverse clients respectfully.
• Able to remain calm in demanding situations.
• Willingness to meet face-to-face with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Navigation office operations and supervise case managers.
• Coordinate with government and community partners to streamline care.
• Provide staff training on data entry and procedures.
• Develop staff training and growth opportunities.
• Ensure staff meet job expectations through check-ins and coaching.
• Resolve operational problems and update policies and procedures.
• Assist with program manuals review and revision.
• Represent 5CHC in county meetings as needed.
• Collaborate with other supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
• Assist case managers with case plans and client goals.
• Approve direct client assistance per grant guidelines.
• Support case management for complex cases and may manage a small caseload.
• Maintain compassionate engagement with clients.
• Resolve conflicts and de-escalate potentially violent situations.
• Handle client grievances and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain regular attendance.
