Osage-Nation in Pawhuska, OK seeks a Housing Counselor to assist homebuyers and tenants in NAHASDA and rental programs. Under the Housing Director, you will provide counseling, review documents, and help resolve delinquencies and re-certifications.

You will conduct home visits, support move-ins and changes, and help prepare monthly to yearly program reports while staying current with federal regulations and the Housing Data System.

Qualificações

• Associate degree required; 1–3 years of related experience may be substituted for education.
• Preferred: Associate degree with 3–4 years of related experience.

Responsabilidades

• Review and process occupancy documents for senior housing rentals and NAHASDA Homeownership programs.
• Address complaints and problems for homebuyers/renters.
• Interview clients to resolve delinquent payments and arrange payback agreements.
• Prepare and mail notices of nonpayment and re-certifications.
• Prepare documents for repossession when necessary and act on behalf of Housing Department.
• Provide counseling on all program aspects and housing responsibilities; perform home visits.
• Assist with move-ins, reassignments, and changeovers; contribute to monthly, quarterly, yearly reporting.
• Maintain knowledge of federal housing regulations and Housing Data System (HDS).

General Summary: Under the supervision of the Housing Director, the Housing Counselor shall provide counseling and information to homebuyers/tenants participating in Housing rental programs and NAHASDA Homeownership program, and all other duties as assigned by the Director.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:1. Review and process documents for continued occupancy for the senior housing rentals and NAHASDA Homeownership programs.2. Address any complaints and/or problems in regards to the homebuyer/renter.3. Interview clients to resolve delinquent housing payments and re-certifications, inspections, and arrange payback agreements with homebuyers/renters that are delinquent.4. Complete and mail notices of nonpayment and notices to homebuyers/renters that have not been re-certified.5. Prepare and complete the documentation for repossession of homes from homebuyers/renters that have defaulted and appear in ON Court on behalf of the Housing Department.6. Provide counseling and inform homebuyers of all aspects of the program including their responsibilities.7. Shall perform home visits.8. Shall be involved with completing the process of new homebuyer/renter move-ins, reassignments and change overs.10. Provide necessary information for monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting.10. Maintain knowledge of all federal regulations and program policies regarding Housing Management which includes NAHASDA and Tribal Housing.12. Maintain knowledge of Housing Data System (HDS) for homebuyer accounts and post payments.13. Perform any other duties as assigned.Job Specifications:1. Minimum Requirements – Associate Degree, with 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.2.
