Rutgers University in New Jersey seeks a Maintenance Mechanic- Housing for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations. You will perform a wide range of maintenance tasks to repair facilities and equipment under Housing, manage inventory, and report any building issues to your supervisor.

Role requires high school/vocational education with 2 years of maintenance experience, and a valid driver’s license with driving history.

Qualifications

• High school or vocational education plus two years maintenance experience in carpentry, plumbing, electricity and mechanics.
• Valid driver's license with two years driving experience.
• Rutgers Defensive Driving Course completion may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provides maintenance services in repair and maintenance of facilities and equipment under Housing.
• Maintains an inventory and submits supply requests.
• Inspects buildings and reports needs or unusual conditions to supervisor.
