Job summary

Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County (NLSLA) is seeking an attorney to join its holistic legal services team focused on removing barriers to housing. The attorney will work with a collaborative group serving Los Angeles County communities, including Antelope Valley, San Fernando Valley, and San Gabriel Valley, addressing housing litigation, benefits advocacy, and record clearing.

You will report to the Supervising Attorney in a hybrid role, with on-site work required two days per

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active California State Bar license.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic and comprehensive legal services in housing, public benefits, and related areas.
• Represent families and individuals facing housing instability, with a focus on housing advocacy.
• Create and conduct training for community partners and community members (Know Your Rights).
• Maintain relationships with community partners by attending provider meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned within core responsibilities.
• This position is hybrid; on-site at least two days per week with some remote work when feasible.
