Job summary

County of Ventura is seeking a Management Analyst I/II to prepare plans, contracts, and oversee HUD, state, and other grants across the full lifecycle. You will work with city partners, housing developers, nonprofits, and state/federal agencies to translate funding into outcomes.

Strong writing and organizational skills are essential. The role supports the Housing and Homelessness Solutions Division within the County Executive Office, with opportunities to advance through the ranks and engage in

Qualifications

• Requires strong written communication skills and ability to interpret federal, state, and local grant regulations.
• Experience with federal and state grant administration systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of NEPA/CEQA and ability to prepare reports and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply federal, state, and local grant regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor grant-funded programs and provide technical assistance to grantees.
• Partner with County departments, cities, nonprofits, and agencies to implement affordable housing and homelessness programs.
• Develop proposals, policies, procedures, and contracts in response to funding opportunities.
• Review compliance inquiries and recommend appropriate actions.
