County of Los Angeles seeks qualified candidates for Emergency Health Program Analyst I to support homelessness initiatives through program design, evaluation, and grants management. You will help develop budgets, monitor contracts, and prepare reports to guide policy decisions.

This emergency recruitment may hire for up to 90 days with potential for permanent employment; selection requires a degree in social sciences or related field and experience in mental health or public health program

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Health Care Administration/Management, Public Administration, Behavioral Sciences, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
• Master's degree may substitute for one year of required experience in mental health/public health program analysis (Option I).
• Four years of experience in mental health/public health program analysis, two years at Management Analyst level (Option II).

Responsabilités

• Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of health-focused programs.
• Assists with the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of program policies, goals, and objectives.
• Assists with the development and preparation of grants and ensures compliance with grant requirements.
• Assists with the coordination, planning and development of budgets for programs; assists with monitoring established budgets.
• Evaluates contract activities related to compliance, service delivery, operations, and budgets for quality assurance.
• Gathers and analyzes information pertaining to the project or program including overall evaluation and prepares a variety of reports and correspondence.
• Assists in formulating and presenting recommendations to management for program modifications or corrective action based on program evaluations.
• Coordinates and participates in focus groups with clients regarding quality of care issues.
• Assists in the development and implementation of community action plans, and aides in the policy passage and implementation process.
• Represents or advocates for the needs and rights of clients at hearings or meetings with service providers, as needed.
