Job summary

King County's Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) seeks a Project/Program Manager II to oversee outreach, shelter, transitional housing, and rapid re-housing initiatives for people experiencing homelessness. The role coordinates contracts, partners, and data-driven program improvements.

This hybrid position based in Seattle requires equity-focused leadership, strong written communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines.

Qualifications

• Evidence of excellence in implementing and managing Federal, State or Local grants and contracts.
• Two years of contract management experience.
• Strong written communication and ability to work under deadlines.
• Understanding of equity and social justice concepts and applying them to work.
• Experience with RFP processes and contract coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and monitor service contracts with not-for-profit agencies to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Provide technical assistance to contracting agencies on project implementation and contractual responsibilities.
• Coordinate with funders and service providers to integrate funded projects with regional efforts.
• Gather and analyze housing and service data to inform continuous system improvement and RFP processes.
• Write RFP documents and rating tools; participate in evaluation activities.
