Job summary

King County’s Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) seeks a Project/Program Manager II to oversee outreach, shelter, transitional housing, and rapid re-housing projects for people experiencing homelessness in the region. The role centers equity and social justice while coordinating with partners to implement contracts and improve services.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in contract management.
• Demonstrated understanding of equity and social justice concepts and the effects of place, race and systems-based inequities.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team member with internal and external partners.
• Proficiency in writing for correspondence, grant proposals and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and monitor service contracts with not-for-profit agencies to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Provide technical assistance to contracting agencies on project implementation and meeting contractual responsibilities.
• Apply equity and social justice approaches to all work, including communication and RFP processes.
• Coordinate with funders and providers to ensure integration of funded projects with regional efforts.
• Gather and analyze data related to housing and services to inform continuous system improvement and RFP processes.
• Write RFP documents, guidelines, application forms and rating tools; implement RFP processes.
• Collaborate with the division's evaluation team to input on evaluation efforts.
• Represent team in planning processes and workgroups.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
