Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California Division is seeking a Case Manager for Bell Shelter to provide individualized case management and referrals designed to help participants address homelessness and achieve independence.

Responsibilities include developing Housing & Services Plans, linking clients to housing resources, budgeting guidance, and HMIS documentation; flexible hours including evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in social work or related field with 1 year of work experience.
• Alternate: high school diploma with 2–3 years of experience in homelessness services.
• Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Meet with participants weekly to assess progress and provide support.
• Develop Housing & Services Plan (HSP) and Monthly Action Plan (MAP) for each client.
• Strengthen job readiness skills through coaching on job search, resumes, and interviews.
• Assist clients with budgeting and saving plans.
• Maintain client data in HMIS/Clarity and paper files within 72 hours of meetings.
• Collaborate with social service agencies to link clients to housing resources.
• Attend funder-required trainings and audits.
