Job summary

Qualifications

• 2-6 years experience in the homeless field (required).
• Crisis management experience (preferred).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Exceptional ability to multi-task and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent case management skills with a proven track record of success.
• Prior experience and understanding of causes of homelessness.
• Experience working with landlords, local rental markets and/or housing sales.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to work with a diverse population.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall client support and engagement activities to meet immediate and long-term needs in a caring and programmatic manner.
• Support outreach and engagement of families/individuals and facilitate the client’s permanent supportive housing needs with the Department of Humans Services.
• Assist in processing housing applications, lease agreements with landlords, families and contractors when needed.
• Conduct initial visits to units and assist clients with unit inspections as needed to ensure compliance with program regulations.
• Work with families and individuals to develop service plans, set client goals and implement strategies to meet goals.
