Job summary

Prince William County Office of Housing and Community Development seeks a Housing Program Analyst to determine eligibility for the HCV program, calculate income and rent, and manage cases with tenants and landlords. Role supports diverse communities and requires strong communication and organizational skills.

The position offers telework options, full-time schedule, and a competitive benefits package. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 4 years of related experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required with 4 years of related experience.
  • Experience determining eligibility for Housing Choice Voucher Program and related family-based calculations is preferred.
  • Intermediate MS Excel and MS Office Suite experience required.
  • Experience with Housing Pro Software is preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Interview and certify eligibility for initial intake and recertification.
  • Calculate rental amounts based on family size, income and allowable expenses.
  • Negotiate with landlords and track participant progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and case management for all participant families.
  • Conduct tenant certification meetings and respond to emails and phone calls.
  • Prioritize caseloads and process moves, annual and interim certifications.
