Job summary

Community Housing Services Agency, Inc. (CHSA) seeks a Housing Development Coordinator to manage development, inspections, and related tasks for new housing, repairs, and acquisitions. This role supports program oversight, budgeting, compliance, and staff training in Chatham County.

CHSA is a nonprofit housing organization partnering with the City of Savannah and local stakeholders to deliver affordable housing. The position requires collaboration with owners, developers, and lenders.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating housing development and inspections.
• Knowledge of construction methods, costs, and codes.
• Familiarity with SHPO, lead paint, and environmental reviews is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and evaluates suitable lots for affordable and workforce housing.
• Coordinates inspection tasks for new construction and repairs.
• Coordinates property acquisition, maintenance, and compliance reviews.
• Prepares plans and cost estimates for projects and reviews contractor pricing.
• Maintains detailed project files and supports with program oversight.
