Job summary

Community Housing Services Agency, Inc. (CHSA) seeks a Community Development & Fundraising Manager in Savannah to partner with the Executive Director and advance CHSA’s mission by increasing community awareness and securing support for affordable housing in Chatham County.

The role will cultivate relationships with community leaders, foundations, and local government, manage donor communications, and coordinate outreach and fundraising programs to expand CHSA’s impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with 3–5 years in nonprofit administration, public relations, marketing, program development, advancement, or community outreach.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
• Background investigation including drug screen and verification of education/certifications prior to employment.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Executive Director to identify education, outreach, communications, and fund development opportunities.
• Develop and nurture relationships with community leaders, housing developers, nonprofits, and government staff.
• Develop community engagement strategies to raise awareness of affordable housing issues and opportunities.
• Solicit financial support from individuals, businesses, and foundations through direct asks and fundraising events.
• Assist with social media and donor communications; coordinate donor materials and campaigns.
• Monitor and evaluate engagement efforts using the CRM to measure impact and adjust strategies.
