The Postgraduate Center for Mental Health seeks a Housing Court Liaison to oversee tenancy and housing court matters, coordinating with attorneys and program staff to ensure cases are legally sound and well-documented.

You will manage the compliance pipeline, monitor OMH regulations and fair housing requirements, and prepare detailed case reports for residential leadership. Evening hours may be required for Small Claims actions.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree preferred; an Associate's degree with relevant experience acceptable.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in housing, tenancy administration, legal support, or case management.
• Working knowledge of NYC housing court processes and landlord-tenant law.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage documentation and deadlines.
• Experience working with attorneys or in a legal liaison role is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Review cases to ensure retention efforts and documentation are complete before filing.
• Initiate tenancy and housing court cases with the agency's legal counsel.
• Coordinate between program staff, leadership, and outside counsel; track case status.
• Schedule court appearances and ensure records are available.
• Maintain audit-ready case files and timelines for active and closed matters.
• Monitor compliance with OMH regulations and fair housing requirements.
• Identify alternatives to legal action and route appropriately.
• Prepare periodic reporting on case volume, status, and outcomes.
• Maintain all files per agency and regulatory standards.
