Job summary

Just Compassion of East Washington County seeks a Court Liaison to help program participants navigate eviction and housing-related court matters. You will clarify court documents, guide next steps after hearings, and coordinate with housing partners to ensure access to resources and legal advocacy.

You will educate participants on eviction prevention and housing rights while serving as a liaison between staff, courts, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, criminal justice, public administration, or related field (or equivalent lived/professional experience).
• Experience helping participants navigate court systems or legal processes.
• Knowledge of eviction processes and housing rights encouraged.
• Commitment to trauma-informed, participant-centered support.
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants in understanding eviction and housing-related court proceedings.
• Explain court documents and rulings in clear, accessible language.
• Advise on next steps after hearings and rulings.
• Coordinate with Fair Housing orgs and legal partners to connect resources.
• Maintain case notes and report participant outcomes.
