Job summary

Oaks Integrated Care Inc. in Lumberton, NJ is seeking a dedicated DDMI Housing Counselor to provide hands-on support in a community-based housing program. You will help clients secure and maintain stable housing, assess needs, and connect them with resources.

This full-time role emphasizes outreach, collaboration with providers and families, and guiding residents through tenant rights, transportation, and daily living activities while delivering counseling and crisis intervention as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a helping profession (SW/psychology/sociology/CJ) required.
• Experience in the mental health field preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Market the program by attending local and State meetings.
• Enroll consumers in program services through outreach and assessment.
• Assist clients in finding and furnishing affordable housing.
• Educate clients about tenant rights and manage disputes.
• Provide supportive counseling and problem solving.
• Coordinate with families and other providers to develop service plans.
