Job summary

True North Recovery Inc. is seeking a dedicated role to support daily operations of its Recovery Residence in Wasilla, Alaska.

The position requires coordinating housekeeping, leading weekly house meetings, conducting inspections, and managing random drug testing to ensure a safe, supportive environment for residents. The ideal candidate can work independently, handle multiple tasks, and communicate clearly with staff and residents.

Qualifications

• Must have one year of continuous sobriety if in recovery, and active participation in a recovery program.
• Must obtain CDC I or CDC II & NACA I within 3 years of hire.
• Valid Alaska driver’s license and insurable under company automotive insurance (age 21+).
• Continued employment requires satisfactory state and federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily operations of Recovery Residence including housekeeping, weekly House Meetings, inspections, and random drug testing.
• Assist with entry and exit procedures for residents.
• Provide direct support to housing manager and report client issues.
• Assist with maintaining supplies and shopping for additional items.
• Be available for after-hours assistance at the houses.

Job description

MISSION STATEMENT:

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting with of daily operations of the Recovery Residence, including managing and coordinating daily housekeeping tasks, leading weekly “House Meetings”, conducting inspections, organizing random drug testing.
• Assist with all coordinating and execute all entry and exiting procedures.
• Provide direct support to housing manager, reporting any client issues identified
• Assist with maintaining supplies stocked and shopping for additional supplies
• Be available for afterhours assistance at the houses should an emergency arise.
• Oversee random house inspections.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• If in recovery, one year of continuous sobriety prior to hire and active and continuing participation in a recovery support program, such as a 12-step program.
• Must obtain CDC II OR CDC I & NACA I within 3 years of hire.
• Valid Alaska driver’s license and insurable under TRUE NORTH RECOVERY INC’s automotive insurance, which requires a driver to be at least 21 years of age.
• Continued employment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory state and federal background check.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role is primarily performed in an office building with standard office environment and controlled temperatures. When working outdoors or at a job site the employee may be exposed to construction equipment or other moving objects/equipment; reference job site specifics. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk/hear, see, read, and personally interact with others.
