Job summary

Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) in Nashville, TN seeks a Compliance Manager to oversee compliance monitoring, tenant file reviews, and corrective action follow-up across MDHA properties and partners.

The role reports to the Senior Compliance Manager and leads efforts under the Director of Compliance and Risk Management to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance."

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, finance, management or a related field is required.
• Three to five years of experience in affordable housing compliance, occupancy or property management.
• Working knowledge of HUD, LIHTC, HOME, PBRA and FSS program requirements.
• Experience conducting tenant file reviews and tracking corrective actions through resolution.
• Strong written and verbal communication, plus attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site and remote reviews of tenant files to verify eligibility, income, rent calculations and required documentation for HUD, LIHTC, HOME, PBRA, FSS and other programs.
• Use monitoring tools and checklists to ensure regulatory compliance and internal controls.
• Submit completed reviews and documentation to the Senior Compliance Manager for review and escalation when needed.
• Identify, document and communicate deficiencies to property management staff.
• Monitor and track corrective actions with due dates and follow-up status.
• Perform follow-up reviews to confirm corrections are completed accurately and timely.
• Prepare summaries of findings, trends and action status for leadership review.
