Job summary

Corpus Christi Housing seeks a dedicated HCVP Caseworker to manage eligibility, provide participant information, and maintain records within the Housing Choice Voucher Program.

Under the supervision of the HCVP Supervisor, you will conduct interviews, verify income, calculate housing assistance, and ensure compliance with HUD requirements while delivering excellent customer service to residents and landlords in Corpus Christi.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Within 9 months of hire, complete certified training courses for: Section 8 Rent Calculation, Voucher program administration, Section 8 eligibility for HUD Programs and Fair Housing training.
• Valid Texas Driver License with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conducts tenant interviews for annual and interim re-certifications.
• Interviews in client’s home or field office as needed.
• Obtains third party verification of income, assets, deductions and other income factors.
• Calculates tenant rent and housing assistance payment based on family income.
• Enters data into ECS software for PIC submission.
• Files processed paperwork into tenant files in a timely manner and performs quality control audits.
