Job summary

The Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP) is seeking a Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) coordinator to process forms and documentation and to serve as the primary contact for client interactions with HCVP.

You will verify that all paperwork complies with HACP and HUD regulations, resolve customer complaints, and maintain accurate records and data in HUD/HACP systems. Strong computer skills with Word, Excel, and Outlook are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of two years’ experience in case management or customer service.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Strong computer skills with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for all client communication with the HCVP department.
• Accurately enters information to complete documents for Section 8 participants.
• Verifies paperwork complies with HACP and HUD regulations.
• Process vouchers, leases, initial/annual/interim certifications, move-ins/outs, and end of participation.
• File and maintain records; update information in HUD/HACP systems.
• Refer customers to support services when needed.
• Address inquiries or complaints and resolve or escalate promptly.
• Assist staff in determining on-the-job procedures and resolving issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
