Job summary

Bay Area Turning Point, Inc. is seeking a Housing Case Manager A to provide housing case management for families who have fled domestic violence or sexual assault, with home visits and office sessions after shelter exit.

The role includes transportation assistance and connecting clients with essential resources and after-care support services. The position is full-time, non-exempt, with a 40-hour workweek and a schedule that may include evenings as needed.

Qualifications

• Provide housing case management to non-residential participants who have fled a domestic violence or sexual assault living environment.
• Work in the office and in the participant’s home after exiting shelter and moving to their own home.
• Assist with transportation to continued services and connect families to resources (clothing, furniture, food, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Conduct casework with housing participants including goal setting, financial planning, referrals to advocacy services, and other needs.
• Assist parent/child with healthy development and safety planning.
• Oversee participant transportation needs and reimbursement processes.
• Be knowledgeable of community resources and coordinate with landlords and service providers.
• Maintain participant records and ensure confidentiality in file maintenance.
