Job summary

TURN is seeking a housing specialist to work with clients, securing living arrangements and negotiating rents, deposits and move-in terms. You will manage short-term, transitional and permanent housing leases and perform field-based services as required.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of relevant experience or an associate degree with 3 years, or 5 years of related work. A CA driver’s license is required; bilingual abilities and familiarity with Microsoft Office and EHR

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect housing weekly and remediate reported issues.
• Provide case management, crisis intervention and discharge planning.
• Complete timely documentation for billable services.
• Find housing opportunities and manage leases for clients.
• Prepare subsidy applications and maintain housing files.
• Assist with rent collection and transport clients to housing.
• Conduct housing screenings using the coordinated entry system.
• Support on-call shifts and field-based services.
• Maintain client confidentiality.
• Attend scheduled meetings.
