Job summary

Upward Bound House in Los Angeles County is seeking a BFH Housing Case Manager to coordinate rapid re-housing services for families in the child welfare system. You will work with landlords, educate on UBH rental assistance, and help participants access permanent housing.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Human Services and at least 2 years working with unhoused populations, knowledge of fair housing laws, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience working with unhoused populations; homelessness experience preferred.
• Knowledge of fair housing laws and practices.
• Professionalism and strong written/verbal communication.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, team-oriented environment.
• Travel primarily in Los Angeles County; valid CA driver's license and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide housing case management services in a safe, client-centered manner.
• Network with owners/landlords to identify housing opportunities and educate on UBH programs.
• Assist participants with securing permanent housing and documenting progress in HMIS.
• Perform rent calculations and advise on lease provisions and deposits.
• Educate landlords on UBH subsidy programs and support participant-landlord relationships.
