YWCA Northeastern NY (YWCA NENY) in Schenectady, NY seeks a full-time Housing Case Manager to support residents in building stability and independence through case management, advocacy, and connection to resources.

The role includes intakes, record-keeping, transportation assistance, and coordinating group activities under the Director of Housing. This is a mission-driven position focused on dignity, equity, and community impact.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field with 5+ years housing services experience.
• High school diploma or GED with 10+ years housing services or related field experience.
• Experience in case management and providing housing services preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide case management and support: build trusting relationships, assist in identifying goals and navigating barriers to stability and independence.
• Support housing access and intakes: manage the housing waitlist and assist with intakes.
• Connect residents to resources: knowledge of local social services, tenant rights, and YWCA rental procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and data: case notes, resident files, daily tracking, and reports.
• Promote a safe and supportive community: coordinate with housing director, case management team, and maintenance staff; conduct room checks and assist with turnover.
• Build community and well-being: facilitate monthly group activities to promote resident connection.
• Assist residents with appointments and transportation: provide transportation using the agency van.
• Collaborate and participate: attend meetings and trainings and contribute to program effectiveness.
• Support program operations: front desk coverage and other duties as assigned.
