Job summary

Abode Services is seeking an Intake Coordinator to screen referrals, manage documentation, and support clients in securing housing throughout Alameda County. The role emphasizes collaboration with referral sources, program teams, and funding compliance to ensure timely service delivery.

Responsibilities include intake processing, eligibility checks, and maintaining accurate program trackers while participating in trainings and team meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, Human Services, Social Work, Sociology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1 year experience providing services to homeless or marginalized populations.
• 1 year experience providing program support in an administrative capacity.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Valid California driver's license with proof of auto insurance and clean DMV record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain active relationships with referral sources to identify and cultivate new referrals and provide information about Abode Services and its programs.
• Keep referral sources apprised of program openings and documentation requirements.
• Complete intake process including phone contact, paperwork, and eligibility checks.
• Assist in initial intake screening and provide recommendations for housing placement.
• Support enrollment in programs to enter housing and track referral processes to ensure timely access to services.
• Develop and maintain program trackers, waiting lists, and ensure files meet funding and regulatory requirements.
