Job summary

Community Teamwork Inc. in Lowell, MA is seeking a Rental Assistance Specialist to liaise between tenants and landlords, review applications, and manage case notes. You will ensure accuracy, communicate updates, and advocate for clients through the process.

The role supports preventing evictions and coordinating with the Rental Assistance Team to secure approvals and payments while upholding CTI's equity, integrity, and compassion values.

Qualifications

• HS or equivalent required.
• Experience with low-income, diverse populations.
• Knowledge of local community resources.
• Strong customer service, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with basic computer software and data entry systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Review tenant and landlord application documents and communicate with both parties to ensure a completed application.
• Assess each document for validity and obtain updates when needed.
• Flag applications with invalid documents and inform Lead staff.
• Advocate for clients and refer to the Special Services Case Manager as needed.
• Maintain accurate case notes in the application portal.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to advocate for clients and prevent eviction.
• Submit complete documents to Rental Assistance Team Leads for approval and payment processing.
• Uphold CTI values: Equity, Integrity, Compassion.
