Job summary

Cambria Hotel Omaha Downtown in Omaha, NE is seeking a Houseperson/Shuttle Driver for both full-time and part-time roles. Responsibilities include housekeeping duties, moving furniture, delivering items to guest rooms, and operating the shuttle as needed.

Requires a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED. Shifts commonly run 3pm-11pm Monday through Friday, with nights, weekends, and holidays possible.

Responsibilities

• Moves and arranges furniture.
• Turns mattresses as required.
• Hangs draperies as required.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metalwork and furniture.
• Collect and replace soiled linens for laundering per OHM/brand standards.
• Receives and stores linen supplies.
• Cleans bathrooms and replenishes supplies.
• Refurnishes room with towels and supplies as required.
• Restocks cleaning cart with supplies for shift.
• May deliver baby cribs and roll-away beds to guest rooms.
• May remove debris, clean driveways and garage areas.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways and locker rooms.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors.
• Cleans rugs, carpets and draperies with vacuum.
• Washes walls, ceilings and woodwork; washes windows and door panels.
• Empties and transports trash in accordance with OHM standards.
• Replaces light bulbs; follows MSDS guidelines when using chemicals.
• Reports to work on schedule, in uniform per policy.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Moves and arranges furniture.
• Turns mattresses as required.
• Hangs draperies as required.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.

• Cleans bathrooms and replenishes with supplies.
• Refurnishes room with supplies, towels etc. as required.
• Restock cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for shift.
• May deliver baby cribs and roll‑away beds to guest rooms.
• May remove debris, clean driveways and garage areas.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways and locker rooms and other work areas.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture and draperies using a vacuum cleaner.
• Washes walls, ceiling and woodwork.Washes windows, door panels and sills.
• Empties and transports trash and waste to disposal or recycling areas in accordance with OHM standards.
• Replaces light bulbs.Abides by the regulations of the material safety data sheet when using chemicals.
• Reports to work for scheduled shift, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.
• Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.
• Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.

• Performs other related duties as required including driving the shuttle.

Requirements, Education & Experience:

• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening in accordance with company policy and applicable law.

Hours:

• Scheduling may vary due to the nature of the business, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• 3pm-11pm Monday-Friday

Physical Requirements:

• Heavy work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally; up to 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently; and 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Requires significant walking or standing.

Environmental Conditions:

• Primarily indoors with protection from weather conditions, but potential exposure to temperature changes.
